bubbles + women

2017Video

bubbles + women presents two spontaneous digital drawings animated to music I composed. The images emerge in real time, brush strokes visible, revealing a raw connection between mind, hand, and desire. The women depicted carry exaggerated bodies — large breasts, oversized vulvas, hypersexual poses — but they are not objects of consumption. They are monuments, embodiments of strength disguised as eroticism. The bubbles offer a counterpoint: effervescence, champagne, lightness. They hover around these primal feminine figures, creating a strange friction between celebration and discomfort. The viewer becomes a voyeur watching desire being constructed live, stroke by stroke, as if catching the unconscious in the act of revealing itself. The work straddles discomfort and fascination. It invites the audience to feel their own reactions — humor, unease, curiosity — and to question how power, sexuality, and primitive instinct intersect when the creation process is fully exposed. bubbles + women is a portrait of desire stripped of its cultural polish. A raw look at how the mind draws the body it both reveres and fears.
